If you have recently qualified and are applying for your first position as a nanny, you need to be prepared for the resistance that you may meet from some families who feel that they'd prefer someone with experience.
There are various ways to tackle this problem, but principally you can meet it head on, by demonstrating that thanks to the high standard of training you have just completed, you have every confidence in your own ability to cope. Furthermore, as you have just qualified, you are right up-to-date with the very latest standards and methods of childcare.
You will need the self-confidence to invite them to employ you so that you can prove to them that you are competent. References from the organisation which has trained you will be important as supporting evidence.
You may however prefer to build experience by working at a more junior level initially, you can then offer your skills and experience at a later date as a Nanny in your own right.
