References

Nannies may bring written testimonials to an interview. We always contact previous employers to check details or to discuss a written reference on the Nanny. This allows us to confirm that the reference is complete. We will take up references from the last 3 engagements.

Criminal Records Bureau Disclosures

A CRB is a check made against the police national computer for any convictions, pending convictions and any surveillance an individual may have committed or be involved in. At Hire a Nanny, we always ensure that the Nanny applies for an enhanced disclosure. This means that the Nanny is also checked against the POVA and POCA registers, which contain lists of individuals who are prevented from working with vulnerable adults or children. We ensure that the checks are returned clear prior to sending the Nanny to you for interview.

Full Employment Check

We fully discuss at interview, all roles taken whether as a Nanny or not, we look for gaps in employment and follow up the explanations.

Qualifications Check

At Hire a Nanny we check all qualifications; we contact all colleges and universities to confirm attendance and graduation from the relevant courses. Copies of all relevant qualifications will be available for inspection at interview.

Identity and Right to work in the UK

Hire a Nanny thoroughly check the Nanny's passport, birth certificate and right to work in the UK. Hire a Nanny also verifies permanent addresses for your candidate.
